FAQ

Is the restaurant a BYO establishment?

At OKAMI, we are pleased to offer a fully licensed dining experience with the added benefit of BYO permission for wine enthusiasts. You are welcome to bring your own wine selections, including white wine, red wine and sparkling. We charge a corkage fee of $10 per bottle to cover the service and amenities associated with serving your preferred beverages.

How much do you charge for kids?

We take immense joy in welcoming families to our child-friendly restaurants, where we make dining an enjoyable experience for guests of all ages.

To cater to our youngest patrons, children under 3 years old can indulge in our All You Can Eat menu completely free of charge.

For children aged 4 to 8 years old, we offer this delightful feast at a rate of $19.80 per person, while those aged 9 to 12 years old can enjoy it at $24.80 per person.

To avail the “All You Can Eat” offer, we kindly require a minimum of 2 full-priced guests. 

Please note that drinks are not included in the All You Can Eat menu.

How much do you charge for seniors?

The “All You Can Eat” menu is available at a discounted price of $35.80 per person for Seniors Card Holder guests. To take advantage of this special offer, guests are kindly requested to inform when they make a reservation or inform the staff at the venue. Must show their seniors card to proof and the discounted price will be applied accordingly.

Do you split the bill?

As per our policy, we are unable to split the bill for the table. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding. 

Can I bring a birthday cake?

BYO cake is welcome to our restaurant and we don’t charge any cakeage.  Just kindly tell our staff when you visit. They will store it in the fridge, light the candles and bring it over at the end of the meal!

Can you accommodate large group bookings? Online bookings can only accommodate up to 15 people.

Okami is more than happy to cater for large groups. Please call the store directly to discuss your specific needs.

How can I change a booking?

If you would like to change your booking, please update your booking details through the online confirmation email before the cut-off time (4:00 pm for current-day booking) or contact the store directly to check the availability.

Do you only accept reservations? Can I walk in?

Walk-in is always welcome; however, it might depend on the store’s availability. We recommend you book a table in advance to avoid disappointment, especially for a big group on weekend, which can be made via phone and online. https://www.okamirestaurant.com.au/stores

Do you have a gluten-free menu?

We take great care to accommodate guests with gluten sensitivities by offering certain dishes made from gluten-free ingredients or sauces. However, we want to be transparent and emphasize that our facilities are not entirely gluten-free, and thus, we cannot provide a guarantee of completely gluten-free dishes.

The potential for trace allergens in our working environment and supplied ingredients makes it challenging to ensure an entirely gluten-free setting. We prioritize the safety and well being of all our guests and it feels it’s essential to communicate this information.

Dietary requirements cannot be met without prior arrangement.

If you have gluten related dietary concerns, we encourage you to inform us when you make a reservation and inform our staff when placing your order. Our team will do everything possible to accommodate your needs and make your dining experience enjoyable while considering individual dietary requirements.

I have a food allergy, can you accommodate me?

Please be aware that our food may contain or come into contact with common allergens. Customers with food allergies or other nutritional concerns are advised to notify the venue manager for assistance.

While OKAMI will endeavour to accommodate special meal requests for customers who have food allergies or intolerances, we cannot guarantee completely allergy-free meals. This is due to the potential of trace allergens in the working environment and supplied ingredients.

Is OKAMI restaurant Halal-friendly?

Unfortunately, the meats we have at our restaurant are not Halal certified. We don’t purchase meat from Halal suppliers at the moment.
